The capability to connect, communicate, and operate jointly and securely among different allied nations is the cornerstone of modern defense. Under this premise, EPICOM® has actively participated in CWIX (Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise), NATO’s premier interoperability exercise, held at the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Throughout the intense days of the exercise, the EPICOM® team collaborated closely with various technological partners and allied armed forces. The main objective was to conduct demanding testing of our secure communication systems in real-world simulation scenarios.
The FMN standard: A single language for allied forces
One of the strategic focuses of our participation was the achievement of the objectives set by NATO’s FMN (Federated Mission Networking) initiative. This technical and operational reference framework ensures that the command, control, and communication systems of different nations can federate and exchange information immediately and seamlessly in any theater of operations.
Our presence at CWIX underlines EPICOM®’s ongoing commitment to designing encryption technologies and secure systems that comply with the strictest national sovereignty standards, while being fully prepared to act as key elements in joint multinational missions.
